FIRST SATURDAY PRESENTATION – THIS COLD HOUSE: A PRESERVATIONIST’S APPROACH TO WEATHERIZATIONAND ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Historic Preservationist and Arrow Rock authority Marty Selby uses the Friends of Arrow Rock’s historic Miller-Bradford House to show how owners of historical homes (traditional construction of breathable materials) can do their own exterior inspection. This envelope assessment will combine elements of preservation, energy efficiency and weatherization that can be of tremendous value to the comfort—and wallet—of folks looking toward another Missouri winter in an old house. You’ll look at everything on the outside, plus attic and basement/crawl space. Marty will even bring out the thermal camera and his other cool tools—and will discuss the truth about windows!
